Abenaa Udochi oversees Affinity’s Medicaid and Child Health Plus plans in her role as Executive Director, State Government Programs. Before joining Affinity in 1997, she headed her own public relations consulting organization, served as the public affairs director for the First Baptist Community Development Corporation and managed advertising and publicity for the radio networks of the American Broadcasting Company.
Named one of the 25 Influential Black Women in Business in 2009 by The Network Journal, Ms. Udochi gives her time and skills to an array of civic and community causes. She serves on the boards of several organizations, including New York City Mission Society, YouthBridgeNY and New York Covenant Church Community Development Corporation.
Ms. Udochi frequently speaks on branding, community outreach, customer engagement and niche marketing at conferences in the health care community, including those of the Association of Health Insurance Plans. She has a journalism degree from Syracuse University and a Managed Care Executive Certification from America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP).
